The cool air swirled around the bottom of a dark, silk cape which concealed who had it draped around their shoulders. Heavy footsteps echoed down the Diagon alley as the tall figure kept a steady pace toward his destination. While It was a peculiar day in the alley for, more than half of the shops where closed up. While this was greatly annoying, the hooded figure raised both hands to grasp the hood of the cape to pull it down the back of his platnum head. Lucius Malfoy was in the market for intimidation, information, and his own personal enjoyment. As the expensive material revealed his person, an icy gust of wind kicked up causing signs to swing, sending numerous item clanking and clattering along the hard ground below. Not one for favor such weather, Lucius was glad t hat his locks where tied back in a black, silk ribbon since having his hair fly around at the winds whim only embarrassed him. Seemingly always in control, the tall pureblood walked with his cane in his hand and up to the front doors of Flourish and Blotts.
With a nod of his head, the doors seemingly opened at his command although they where enchanted for every guest. The rush of warm air that greeted him made Lucius let out a subtle sigh of relief to be out of the rageful wind. Upon entering two young book keepers stood quickly attending to the huge library books that crowded nearly every inch of the shop. However, their attention had been turned toward Lucius as the bell above the doors rang out, alerting the book keepers of the Lucius's presence. Almost immediately, they fought back blushes on their faces and rushed to his aid.
"Welcome Mr. Malfoy..." The blonde one spoke. Lucius refrained from rolling his eyes. Everywhere he went it seemed birds fell at his feet. It was starting to annoy hi, slightly, however it was a nice ego boost. "...How can we help you today?" They inquired.
Squinting his eyes somewhat and looking at the young women from down his sharp nose, Lucius pursed his lips and threw a casual glance at the staircase that led up to even more books. "Perhaps you fine ladies would let me visit the back room, hm?"
While it was an innocent (well not really) request, Lucius did roll his grey eyes this time as the girls giggled at his question. Yes, only he or Gildroy Lockheart would get such a response. However, as the starigtened their robes and cleared their throats, the red head with freckles dug in her pockets until she produced an old silver key. A smirk crossed Lucius' face when her smooth hand was extended to him. He always seemed to get what he wanted...or so it seemed.
"Of course M-Mr. Malfoy, here you are..." She replied with a subtle stutter.
"Ah yes, thank you all too much for your services." Extending his own hand, Lucius Plucked the key from the red head and flipped it to look at it. Half rusted and clearly old, Lucius was now right where he wanted to be. To further extend thanks and to ensure that neither of them followed him, Lucius bent down a placed a small kiss on top the red heads hand before turning and making for the stairs.
"Defigo..."
Upon closing the door behind him, Lucius pocketed the key that was given to him and lock the door behind him. While he was sure that the two ditsy girls would not be following him, he couldn't take any chances. While he was not really worried about the "good doers" creeping up on him, he didni't want a fellow college stumbling up him and his business. Swallowing cooly, Lucius's footsteps once more echoed through out the old back room of the bookshop. Reaching up with his right hand, Lucius's index finger caressed the spine of an old, mangled, and dusty book. Plucking it carefully from itself, Lucius opened it. However, upon doing so, the sound of a book dropping from across the room caught his attention. Scowling in curiosity and suspicion, Lucius closed the book and returned it to its shelf before quietly walking in the direction of whoever was in the room with him. Wand at the ready, Lucius crept toward the very back of the room.
