William is also hyperopic, and as such he keeps a pair of spectacles with him at all times, just in case. However, William can see for very long distances, and view very intricate detail in anything he looks at. Whenever he is going somewhere new, or somewhere that has been edited or changed in any way, he loves to view the details and can be seen standing completely still for minutes on end until he has inhaled all the information he can.

William Cain generally displays a light-hearted, talkative, easy-going, witty and cheeky manner, but repeatedly demonstrates a vengeful and unforgiving streak as well. His strong personal sense of justice makes him quick to anger when he feels it is violated. William also has a tendency to babble, mixing apparent nonsense with vital information, sometimes acting erratically to put the Death Eaters off their guard when they manage to corner him. He is also prone to making seemingly innocent comments to himself, but to others they may seem to be rude. He is sometimes considered by his friends to be “outgoing” and even “cheeky”. He is also prone to changing his mood so quick that his companions are likely to get whiplash; he can change from nice and happy to moody and nonchalant as quick as a flash.
William Cain is very extroverted and more gregarious then any of his other friends, and as such he feels rather lost and lonely when he is on his own. He feels the need to speak to others, even if they are seemingly happy with the silence or their own company. He would go to the ends of the earth to protect those he dear to his heart, and his friends know this and sometimes take advantage it. As noted, he has a pair of spectacles in his top pocket wherever he goes. This is due to him being unable to view small details on a screen or a piece of paper. His square glasses have become a distinguishing feature, and he would be lost without them, especially if he was lost in a place with lots of small objects.

William was born in a family torn apart by murders and abductions. The Dark Lord and his minions had decided to attack his sleepy village in the middle of the Shropshire Hills a few months after he was born, and as such, his mother and father were forced to take him and his sister into hiding. For 5 months they avoided capture as the Death Eaters searched the alcoves and caves in the Snowdonia Mountains where they hid along with multiple other families. Only when William was three years old, and his sister five, did they decide their parents decide it was safe enough to traverse back to Shropshire where they moved back into their old cottage on the outskirts of the main village.
Even though the Death Eaters had left their area, they still left behind many mementos of the time they spent there. Many buildings had been destroyed, including the local library and the local pharmacy. Even though some buildings had been left untouched, either because of the Death Eaters inadequacy or the fact they respected the building’s design, they had been ransacked and looted inside. Over the next year or so, the village’s inhabitants joined together and rebuilt and refurbished the whole area, getting it back to looking like it did before the infestation by the army of the Dark Ones.
William received his Hogwarts letter just as he turned 11, which was a nice birthday present, and he attended the school in the far north. Over his seven years at the greatest magical school in the world, he raised his magical ability from mediocre to excellent and achieved five Outstanding NEWTS out of his 9 subjects. He made many friends along the way, mostly due to his gregarious way of life, but sometimes due to his charms and good looks. He also acquired many female admirers (and some male, but we won’t talk about that), but he never encouraged or continued the fascinations.
During his time at Hogwarts, he has also had his fair share of bad times. Specifically the worst was when he was attending a Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson in his fourth year, and his head of house called him out to tell him that his mother and sister were found dead while on holiday, and the reasons were unspecific. William could not continue with his lessons for a few weeks, and he was allowed home to be with his father as the funeral arrangements were organised. A little bit of a hole opened up inside Will as he came to terms that he would never see the two women in his life ever again. Returning to Hogwarts around a month later, he did not have to work very hard to catch up on the work he missed. He found that if he continued his life as it was before the travesty of his mother and sisters death, he could cope with the almost constant pain inside his chest.
Now an adult, he has the constant challenge of evading the Death Eaters as they attempt to recruit or kill him. He frequently has to avoid their clutches by going away for a week or so until the attention dies down, or seeking refuge in another ones house. William has no interest in joining the Death Eaters, as they were the ones who attacked his family and friends as a youngster and caused them a great deal of pain and hard work when they ransacked his home. However, he does not know whether he will join the Order to batter back the dark forces that attempt to barge into their lives furthermore.

Xavier is a rather rebellious boy when the mood takes him, and this Saturday afternoon, just as the sun was setting...the mood took him. The slim built Gryffindor walked past the roaring log fire in the common room and out of the tapestry towards his destination. Mid-December is one of his favourite times of the year, because you have so much to look forward to; Christmas, New Year and of course, a brand new year full of promising...well, promising stuff.

He was wearing his day robes that fell to his feet, with a matching scarf and gloves to protect him from the worst of the freezing wind that whipped around the castle and pounced upon any exposed skin. Due to the fact it was winter, it went dark before even dinner, so he had to make sure that he was not being followed or watched as he broke the curfew. The main doors in the entrance hall were still open, but he was sure that they would be closed not long after he walked through them.
As he walked across the courtyard and out into the grounds, Xavier spotted a few of his most rebellious house mates and they waved a greeting at him, which he grudgingly returned before he bowed his head against the vicious wind and crunched his way through the snow towards the great lake. Xavier loved just sitting by the lake, sometimes for hours on end, but he knew that today it would be a quick visit due to the sub-zero temperatures. He found his usual spot under the overhanging tree and admired the frozen lake as it reflected the last light of the day perfectly.
