overall personality,
Ava does like fighting and tumbling around with the boys but she's not a tomboy and certainly doesn't dress like one. She's fun and can be a great laugh if you catch her at the right moment. She can be grouchy though, just like the rest of us, when things don't go according to plan. She's proven herself a strong girl, her parents' murder not causing her to crumble into a wreck. She cried and she grieved and it looks like she's moved on. In truth, it's still pretty close to her heart but she tries not to think about it.
Rash, although rarely she can be completely indecisive, Ava is a danger at times when she acts without thinking. She can crack a joke or two and relishes the use of sarcasm. She can be quite witty when she can be bothered. I wouldn't call her lazy but there are those times of day when all Ava can do is curl up wherever she is a slumber down with a good book. Or a good man. Whichever's handy really. She is a family girl and will stick with her sister through thick and thin. She's not the most sympathetic girl but she's good at empathy. After her parents were killed she had a year where she didn't really feel she was alive; grouchy and surly all the time and only slackening the reins of anger and grief for her sister. She's still surly, grouchy, angry at times but she's put effort into her fight.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
WHEN YOU BLESS THE DAY

mother, Matilda Wood (nee Zeller), fourty-eight, housewife (deceased).
father, Uther Wood, fifty, Gringotts assistant manager (deceased).
siblings, Leticia Wood, twenty-two, on the run (sister).
extended family, Oliver Wood (cousin), various other Wood and Zeller cousins.
overall history,
Ava Wood was born a happy, healthy baby in the sweet, sleepy village of Northallerton, Yorkshire. Her parents were overjoyed, as was her two year old sister to have a companion to play with, their second daughter was as beautiful and had as cheerful a grin plastered on her little face as their first. The girls were raised in said village, their parents taking care to hide the family's magical abilities as always. Ava showed her first sign of magic when she zoomed through the kitchen window from the garden, smashing it to pieces but her body without a scratch. That was when she was five.
Lettie left her without a companion to go to Hogwarts and Ava had to make new friends. Her cousins were invited to stay, from both sides of the family. She was again, not lost for companions to play with. Then her time came and she joined Lettie at Hogwarts for what was to be only half of the time she had expected. Her first three years were amazing, she loved the castle just like everyone else and spent her first year finding empty classrooms to play her new-found instrument: the guitar. Second years she spent it finding the same empty classrooms to hang out with her friends when the common room got too crowded. In her third year it was for making out with those dark, tall and handsome types. Ditto for fourth year.
In her fifth year the long-awaited Triwizard Tournament was held, with distastrous consequences. Before the castle had even been taken, the Wood girls received news that their parents were dead, slain by the bastard slaves of Voldemort, Death Eaters. The worst part of that year was not the battle that ensued, nor the running for her life after that; it was when she had to tell Lettie what had happened to their family. And they ran and ran until they could run no more, thankfully guided to the Shropshire hills. Blood clearly meant nothing to Voldemort, it was all a ruse. The Wood family was pureblooded and look what had happened. Murder. Bloody, unbelievable murder.
With no qualifications or any form of educational degree, Ava couldn't very well stride into the Ministry and take up a high-end job. Besides the fact that she'd have probably been seized and killed. She intergrated into the muggle community like the rest of the runaways and although she moves about, she knows that Shropshire is a safe haven. For now, at least.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

roleplay sample.Anna tilted her face upwards, away from her prey. She gave her sister a twisted smile. 'It was dark, I was thirsty, he looked tasty,' she replied nonchalantly, a drop of blood caught at the corner of her mouth. She sucked it up and gave a satisfied smirk. 'You look hungry,' she commented, standing up and giving the corpse of some boy (she knew he was a ravenclaw but that was it) a short kick so his face was visible. Anna smiled down at her almost unknown victim, who stared back up at her with unseeing eyes. He was quite beautiful, she mused. But not beautiful enough to spare her his succulent blood.
The small ravenclaw wrenched her gaze from her pretty prey and turned to Scarlett. 'There might be a little something left in him but you know how I drain them good,' Anna told her, the smirk turning smug. She waved a pallid hand at the gryffindor and gave a tinkering, fairy-like laugh. 'So what if I do get caught?' Anna honestly tried very hard to see what the point was of not letting the humans know that they were tearing them down all the time and pretending to be nice and... well, vegetarian. She didn't let it get her down to much and went about her food replenishment without really caring who saw and who didn't. She'd recently taken to feeding in the forest. When the creatures weren't available and missed her dinner invitation, it was only resourceful if a student happened to be walking past. The worse for the student, the better for Anna.
So she didn't bother to dig a ditch for the bodies whose blood she'd consumed. So what? She was only fourteen, how did they except her to do that? Well, a fourteen year old vampire did have the strength of about ten fully-grown men and extra but from a human's point of view... Anna did her best to play up her youth. Her brothers and sisters would clear up the bodies. She had better things to do. And Scarlett was always one for keeping up appearances. Anna's sister was a sticker for the rules, even though she tried to keep a rebellious streak showing on the outside, little Anna knew that her sister would freak if anyone found out that she was feeding not only so close to the school but on her fellow students. However Anna didn't think that mother or daddy would find it too unacceptable. They were vampires too; they knew the importance of good food. And good food meant good blood. The best, the most delicious blood came from wizarding families, of course. And so where was the perfect place full of amazing blood? Hogwarts; what a lovely coincidence it was that she was carrying out her education there also.
Anna flicked back a lock of hair that had been dangling infront of her eyes. She gave a nother sigh of pleasure. He'd been delicious, exquisite. Hi parents must have been pure wizards, only those tasted like her amortentia of honeysuckle and the singing scent of blood like she'd never tasted before. 'You missed out,' she laughed lightly to Scarlett, surprised that her sister hadn't yet jumped on the dead boy either to cover him up and dispose of him or to feed off him. She looked slightly ill, like she hadn't been getting her fill of AB positive. Maybe she'd gone truly vegetarian? Anna shivered at the thought. A life without blood? How would anyone be able to live like that? And sustain themselves with what? The dark-haired girl shook her head and asked her sister, 'Are you alright, Scarlett? You don't look it.' Anna was blunt, could be blunt as hell to her siblings anyway. It was for the rest of the world she could keep up the image of a mysterious, unusually bright and exceptionally talented girl. In truth she was a deeply disturbed, psychotic little vampire. With an unquenchable lust for blood and a mind ready to meddle with a million thoughts.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
