Ted has incredibly good eyesight as well as an eidetic memory, and was able to scan an entire scene and pick up little details. He implores others to observe every detail in an area and make brilliant deductions from doing so.
He also shows a penchant for talking with his hands, being able to calculate a situation with hand gestures. He also has a habit of spinning in circles when walking and spinning around in a complete counter clockwise circle to look in one direction instead of turning to the right. He is also fond of bow ties. He has also shown some concern about his legs. Whenever something happens, the first thing he checks, is if he still has legs.

He has horrible social skills. He often interrupts himself, and others, to tell someone to "shut up!" He also has a habit of making various subtle light-hearted innuendos (but ends up clueless when women try to flirt with him). However, he has become a little more adept at dealing with, or at least deflecting, such innuendos by the time he was in his twenties.
He also has a habit of rambling, making rapid amendments to his speech, to the point where it seemed like he was talking nonsense. A habit that seems to mildly disturb Ted when people pointed it out to him was his propensity for tasting things in order to determine their chemical and mineral composition.

Frequently, he has asked his friends and patients to trust him before he began any plan. healso frequently hushes others while he trying to think. He also displays a preference for sitting down casually and nonchalantly with leg crossed, appearing quite comfortable and in control during crises or tense situations, as with his reference to the "comfy chairs.” He displays a penchant for unexpectedly pulling miscellaneous objects out of his jacket when needed, made possible by a basic expanding charm. He also has the habit of referring to his friends by their surname.

Ted is highly energetic and very lively. He is extremely brash and unafraid to show his eccentricities, appearing to act alien. He is also easily agitated when people or objects did not do as he wished them to, and would resort to physical confrontation and somewhat reckless behaviour to achieve his goals. He has fantastic leadership qualities. He is extremely resourceful and quick thinking, able to spin things to his point of view, and could find positive outlooks in negative situations. He is somewhat more melodramatic in his brilliance. When thinking about a problem, he blocked out all outside distractions.

He shows a childlike recklessness, but always had a grander scheme behind his actions. He also has a knack for acting smug, occasionally boasting about his feats, knowledge, and reputation.
Although it would appear that he is all fun and games, he does have serious side to his character. He shows little tolerance for dire mistakes and being belittled by others. He often takes his frustrations out on others by exploding with anger and coldness. He is also prone to violent actions and sometimes uses them as his first option to achieve his goals. He also does not believe in using white lies, nor does he dabble around with the truth. He also occasionally badly misjudges people.


He has extreme emotional moments seem linked to making hard choices and the potential that innocents may suffer and die as a result of them. When he is faced with very difficult choices, he seems disgusted with the situation and himself, remarking that he would have to change his profession. After all, a doctor should only do good. He also has a tendency to think aloud when he was panicking or stressed. He has a dislike of this war, and tends to avoid this violent confrontation. He does not hide his emotions, and tends to express everything he feels. For people whom he loves, he is easily prepared to sacrifice himself.

Ted Tyler Franklyn was born into the average muggle family. His father was an engineer and worked long hours while his mother was a stay at home mother. The time was ruled social progress that had begun in the 1960s. This was the time of change in the muggle world and although Ted thought he would be part of it for the rest of his life, he was very much wrong. He was brought up amongst the love of his family and when he was five he had a little sister born to the family. Her name was Penelope. He would often try and help his mother, and be a good big brother. He was a little bit of a strange child. He had inherited his mother’s extraverted personality but his father’s intelligence and social awkwardness. He used to run around, carrying out his own adventures. He was almost never focused on what was important to normal muggle life. His teachers struggled to teach him all that much and he drove his parents crazy.

He was sent to an educational psychologist, which helped a little. He was at least able to concentrate on learning to read and write and do basic maths. His relationship with children his age was slightly strained. He managed to get through til the age of eleven without too much magical weirdness. He occasionally landed up on the roof when he was being chanced by bullies and his fantasies were rather fantastically real. When he was eleven, he got his letter to Hogwarts, brought to him by a fairly stern looking woman. It was only her presence that convinced his parents that he actually was a wizard. His younger sister, penny, was utterly excited when the woman said she was a witch too. Ted was whisked off to Diagon Alley and bought all his books, robes and his wand. He waited for September the first with great excitement.

The day came and he excitedly boarded the Hogwart’s express. The scarlet train took him into his future and he could barely comprehend his luck. In the sorting ceremony he was sorted into Hufflepuff. The hat did debate putting him in Ravenclaw, but his loyal, true heart outweighed his intelligence. He was by farthest the smartest boy of his year and excelled in his classes. His transformation from the unfocused muggle to the driven wizard was phenomenal. He made a handful of good friends, who seemed to accept his differences. They formed quite a tight gang and often took misguided adventures to places they shouldn’t go. Each holiday, when he returned home, he was interrogated by his little sister and he gladly told her of the wonders of Hogwarts. His parents were proud, realises that this was the best place for their eccentric son.

When he was in his sixth year, his sister was sent to Hogwarts. It was the same year that the great ‘Harry Potter’ came to Hogwarts. Because Ted was a muggle born, he could not quite understand his significance. Penny was sorted into Ravenclaw and was caught in the Harry Potter fever. Ted was there when the Chamber of Secrets opened in his last year of school and feared for both himself and his sister. They were, after all, mudbloods and were the target of the heir of Slytherin. Luckily for him, they both survived the attack and the school did not close. He graduated with 5 NEWTS and went on to study to become a healer at St. Mungo’s. When he was twenty, he began a fully fledged healer. It was then that he heard of the death of Harry Potter and the rise of the Dark Lord. He knew at least his sister was in the safest place in the wizarding world – Hogwarts. He left her there and went on the run. He joined the refugee camp in Shropshire Hills. In the August of 1998, he came home to find his mother and father cornered by a death eater, claiming the Dark Lord needed proof of his loyalty. He killed his parents in front of him and raved that he would be next and after that, when the Dark Lord took over Hogwarts, he would kill his sister too. Before the Death Eater could attack, Ted killed him. He fled the house and never looked back.

He pulled his sister from Hogwarts and hid her at the refugee camp. He stole a thresral to escape. He heard of the fall of Hogwarts in the November and promised he would avenge his family’s death.
